6 simple steps to Add Banner on Home page for a wordpress website.
1). Design a banner of suitable size (960×379 etc size) .
2). Upload it to the given folder path through ftp.
http://yoursite.com/wp-content/themes/volusion/images
3). Login into the admin area of worpdress by using following login details :
URL : http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php
Username : Your_Name
Password: Your_Password
4). Click on Appearance – > Widgets from left side navigation.
5). Find Top Widget Area on the right side and click on that.
6). You will find text as a widget. Click on that and place your banner as image there. It will automatically come to the slideshow on homepage.
